The City of Mountain View is developing a Citywide Dark Sky Ordinance to establish exterior lighting standards that help reduce light pollution, protect local wildlife, and preserve the community’s ability to view the night sky.

The ordinance will provide clear guidance for lighting levels, fixture specifications, and operational standards for private development throughout Mountain View.

Give your input through the online survey, which is available in English, Spanish, and Chinese. The survey is open through Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Your feedback will help ensure the new regulations and guidelines reflect the City’s values and environmental goals.
