Parking permits are available for businesses, their employees, and residents located with the Downtown Parking District, for purchase on a daily, monthly, and annual basis. Parking permit holders may park up to eight hours per day in designated downtown lots and parking structures (not on-street parking)

Where You Can Park

Permits are ONLY valid in these specific locations: 

Parking Structures: 1 (Bryant St) & 3 (California St).
Surface Lots: 6, 7, & 9.
Note: Permits are NOT valid in Lots 2, 4, 5, 8, or 11

Apply In-Person

Go to the Finance and Administrative Services Department counter:

• Location: City Hall, 500 Castro Street, 2nd Floor.
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Lunch Closure: Please note the office is closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

What to Bring:

• Completed Application: Ensure it is printed legibly and indicates the total number of permits needed.
  
  
• Proof of Eligibility: Business license, recent pay stub, or utility bill showing a Downtown Parking District address.
  
  
• Payment: Business Check, Visa, or MasterCard. (Note: Personal checks are not accepted for business permits).

Eligibility

To be eligible for a permit, permit holders must work or live within the Parking District Boundary. Here are all of street numbers and streets that are within the district boundary:

• 200 block of Blossom Lane
• 108-380 Bryant Street
• 707-946 California Street
• 102-398 Castro Street
• 400 block of Castro Street – Odd numbers only
• 607-1035 West Dana Street
• 655-895 West Evelyn Street
• 305 and 315 Franklin Street
• 105-495 Hope Street
• 700 Mercy Street – Even numbers only
• 682-990 Villa Street
